StuVe
The StuVe (Student Council of the business engineers at ESB) is responsible for the interests of all students of the degree programmes BSc Internationales Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen - Operations (IWI) and Bsc Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen - Sustainable Production and Business (SPB). Members of the StuVe are also direct contacts for students in the degree programme in MSc Operations Management. It is our goal and concern to give all Wing students the opportunity to network with each other, establish contacts and to get the most out of their studies.
The StuVe is made up of four departments: Communications, Finance, IT and Events.
Communications
Communications is responsible for all social media activities of the Wing degree programmes. ESB Wing is now not only represented on Instagram, but also on TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube.
Communications also maintains a lively exchange with the WIng Marketing Taskforce. The taskforce is made up of ambitious students and professors who work together to make prospective students more aware of the business and engineering degree programmes at ESB Business School. With their help, for example, reels or longer interviews with professors are created – and the results are really impressive.
- Tim Kranke (IWI 1), Katia Sassen (IWI 1) of the Communications ressort
Finance
Finance deals with the StuVe’s expenses and budget planning. We are in close contact with the V.I.M.A. e.V. (the Association for the Expansion of International Management Education) in order to be able to finance our competitions (for example, the Advent calendar or the ESB hoodie raffle at the beginning of each semester), as well as events. Finance also takes care of allocating the lockers in Building 16, which students can rent for only three euros per semester. If you are interested, simply contact lockers@. esbstudent.net
- Hannah Sprenger (PM 3), Finance ressort
IT
Since the winter semester 2021/2022, the StuVe has been expanded to include IT. So that students can network even in times of online teaching, IWI students have set up a Discord server which is available to all ESB students. Whether for studying together, working on assignments or preparing presentations, or to simply exchange ideas and get to know fellow students - it never gets lonely at ESB Business School, even in corona times!
- f. l..: Jacob Sindek (IWI 3), Liam Meinhart (IWI 3), Florian Schwab (IWI 3) of the IT ressort
Events
Events is responsible for the organisation of all kinds of activities and thus provides the students with a wide variety of opportunities to get to know new people, including students doing different degree programmes.
In the winter semester 2021/2022, for example, a virtual gin tasting event and a 3D mini-golf tournament were organised. In spite of corona, an excursion to Mössing to play paintball was organised, there was bowling at City Bowling in Reutlingen and the great ESB Halloween party took place at P&K together with IB and IMX!
In addition, all the students at Reutlingen University can take part in the weekly Game Night, where different board games can be played while having a snack and drinks.
