Graduates' qualifications profile:

  • Industrial engineers combine technical skills with economic know-how and are therefore able to recognise interdisciplinary structures
  • From the raw material to the customer: they organise, control and optimise the entire production and distribution chain including the securing of resources, financial planning, market analysis and sales strategy.
  • They are able to assess the impact of their decisions on employees, technology, market and environment.
  • They work creatively in a team, are able to lead such a team as well as present and share ideas and results professionally.

For our graduates there is no "typical" industrial sector. Industrial/business engineers are needed across all industries in all manufacturing companies. This is alos reflected by the current employers of our graduates from the following sectors:

  • Automotive (supplier) industry
  • Electrical industry
  • Machinery and plant engineering
  • Management consulting, consulting
  • Education and research institutions
  • Wholesale and foreign trade

Typical corporate areas:

Our multidisciplinary programme enables our graduates to perform interface functions between technology and management. With the ability to tackle diverse problems and to integrate a technical and economic perspective, our graduates find a wide range of application fields across virtually all corporate divisions.

  • Management functions on corporate, business division or project level
  • Process planning, control and optimization of procurement, production and logistics with regard to new technologies and innovative solutions
  • Planning and design of production sites and warehouses
  • Quality management and assurance
  • Technical distribution/ marketing or purchasing
  • Production and project controlling, accounting and financing
